I was able to get some long put off bits done today. My buddy Cliff cut out my solid chunk of rock maple bow piece on the big saw today, two facing 9deg angles on a block only 1 3/8'' wide, that's woodskilz..... I used a chunk of hardwood for the bow so the little pointy end wouldn't get messed up by the vacuum pressure, MDF could have easily blown out. And then I also built the little vac shelf for the stern, so I'm happy I had a very productive day.
So I have all the sculpting markers all scrolled out , I'll spend some time shaping it tomorrow on the the disk sander, then I'm going to rasp/fair it into final shape once its on the mould,
This is where its going to live.....
And here is where I'm mounting the vac shelf.....Hope to get to all that tomorrow evening.
